Prof Tan Kok Hian is Group Director, Academic Medicine, SingHealth. He is also the Senior Associate Dean, Duke-NUS Medical School, and Head and Senior Consultant, Perinatal Audit & Epidemiology, at KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH). He is Director of Clinical Quality KKH.

He attended the Academic Medicine Education Institute (AM•EI) Pioneer Fellow Course in 2013/2014, and has received several awards for his academic and clinical work and contributions. These include: the Inaugural National Medical Excellence Team Award 2008, the World Health Organization-UAE Health Foundation Prize 2009 as Integrated Perinatal Care Project Team Leader, the Inaugural National Outstanding Clinical Quality Activist Award 2010, the SingHealth Duke-NUS Scientific Congress 2012 Best Oral Paper for Translational Research, the Malaysian International Congress of Obstetrics & Gynaecology Dato’ Dr M Kanagalingam Award – Best Oral Presentation First Prize 2013, the 23^rd Benjamin Henry Sheares Memorial Lectureship Gold Medal Award 2013, and the Duke-NUS Outstanding Faculty for Advocacy Award (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) 2013.
