Dr Audrey Chia graduated from the University of Sydney and did her ophthalmology training at the Sydney Eye Hospital. She returned to Singapore and worked as an Ophthalmology Registrar at the Singapore National Eye Centre before doing a Paediatric Ophthalmology fellowship at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. She is presently based at the Singapore National Eye Centre. Besides being actively involved in clinical care, Dr Chia’s research interests include strabismus, amblyopia, retinopathy of prematurity, medical and non-medical control of myopia, and visual electrophysiology. She is currently head of the Ophthalmology Unit at the KK Women’s and Children's Hospital, co-heads the myopia research group at the Singapore Eye Research Institute, and is Programme Director of the SingHealth Opthalmology Residency programme.
