Dr Agnes Koong began her training in Family Medicine and joined SingHealth Polyclinics in 2006. She obtained her Masters of Medicine Family Medicine in 2011 and she was conferred Fellow of the College of Family Physicians in 2014.

She was appointed Clinic Director of Marine Parade Polyclinic in October 2012 and recently led her team to complete the renovations for Marine Parade Polyclinic. Beyond re-designing the facility, she strived towards initiatives that improved care and the patient’s care journey experience. These initiatives include the TeleCare Programme and Case Management Programme which enabled care to continue beyond the clinic and for patients with complex care needs.

She was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Award for Enhancing Telehealth and  Telemedicine in Primary Care – 2015 . She recently returned from her HMDP training in Telehealth and aspires to improve care through innovative ways of care delivery. 

An appointed adjunct educator for the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and adjunct lecturer with Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, she is actively involved in undergraduate teaching. She continues to mentor aspiring Family Physicians as well through her contributions as supervisor in the Graduate Diploma of Family Medicine Programme as well as the Fellowship Programme.
