Dr Tham Kwang Wei Consultant / Director Department of Endocrinology Singapore General Hospital

Dr Tham Kwang Wei is a Consultant in the Department of Endocrinology and the Director of the Obesity and Metabolic Unit at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH).

With a main interest in clinical management of obesity and related disorders, she is instrumental in the establishment of the Obesity services at the LIFE (Lifestyle Improvement and Fitness Enhancement) Centre in SGH. The LIFE Centre is a one-stop centre specializing in the multi-disciplinary care of patients with overweight and obesity-related metabolic disorders like Type 2 diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, and houses a multi-function gymnasium for patient exercises.

She is also actively involved in several weight loss trials, mainly to test the effects of weight loss in the local population.
