A/Prof Tan Kok Hian Chairman Division of O&G KK Women's and Children's Hospital

A/Prof Tan Kok Hian is the Chairman of KKH Division of O&G and the Academic Chair of Singhealth Duke-NUS OBGYN ACP. He is a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist and Head of Perinatal Audit and Epidemiology. He is Past President of Perinatal Society of Singapore and O&G Society of Singapore. He serves as Associate Professor in Duke-NUS GMS and NUS YLL SoM. He is Director Clinical Quality in KKH and was presented the Inaugural National Medical Excellence Team Award (NMEA) 2008, WHO-UAE Health Foundation Prize 2009 - Integrated Perinatal Care Project Team Leader and the Inaugural National Outstanding Clinical Quality Activist Award at NMEA 2010.

Prof Tan is a pioneer of Internet education. He set up KK Hospital Info-Web in 1995 which was Asia’s first medical web site. He created in August 1996 the world’s first Internet newsgroup forum in O&G - sci.med.obgyn. He was the first recipient of the OBGYN.net Outstanding Achievement Award in 1996. He was the lead doctor for the world’s first dedicated Pregnancy Webinar series in 2009. He is the lead developer of content for Woman&Child HealthPedia, launched on 12 May 2011 (was rated as the No.1 Iphone free app in the medical category). He is Chief Editor, Internet Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics.
