A/Prof Ng Beng Yeong Head Department of Psychiatry Singapore General Hospital

Dr Ng Beng Yeong is Head and Senior Consultant Psychiatrist of the Department of Psychiatry, Singapore General Hospital. He is trained in Neuropsychiatry and also has special interest in sleep disorders, psychosexual disorders and transcultural psychiatry. He is a regionally-recognised speaker, clinician, and researcher and has published in numerous medical journals and books.

Currently, he is on the editorial board of “Annals”, “ASEAN Journal of Psychiatry” and “Neuropsychiatric Disease and Treatment.” He has authored the following book: ‘Till the break of day: a history of mental health services in Singapore, 1841-1993’ and edited the following: ‘A life of its own – understanding depression and its treatments.’
