Presentation Synopsis
SC 4 - From Fragile to Agile: Building a Resilient and Sustainable Healthcare Supply Chain
The COVID-19 pandemic exposed critical vulnerabilities in global healthcare supply chains, where traditional cost-optimised models proved insufficient in the face of disruption.

Healthcare operates within a uniquely complex environment—marked by stringent regulatory requirements, product traceability, and the critical need to protect patient outcomes.

Resilience in this context is not just about crisis response; it’s about designing systems that can adapt, evolve, and sustain performance under pressure.

This session explores how end-to-end transparency, proactive regulatory compliance, and assurance frameworks are becoming essential to building robust and responsive supply chains. The session will also cover early pilot initiatives in circularity and recycling within the healthcare industry—demonstrating how sustainability and resilience can go hand in hand.

Together, these elements form the foundation of a more agile and future-ready healthcare supply chain—one capable of delivering consistent, high-quality care in an increasingly uncertain world.
