Singapore Neonatal Resuscitation Course (SNRC)

The Singapore Neonatal Resuscitation Course is a workshop that integrates the principles and skills of neonatal resuscitation.

Course Objectives

Participants will:

Be equipped with knowledge and skills in neonatal resuscitation through hands-on practical training and scenario simulation of resuscitation
Integrate cognitive, technical and behavioural skills in simulated scenarios using high-fidelity manikins, with debriefing for reflective learning
Review of knowledge and practical skills through MCQ quiz and individualised review of basic resuscitation skills

Course Content	Basic skills of providing initial steps, positive pressure ventilation and chest compressions for term infants	Basic and advanced skills including endotracheal intubation, use of medications and preterm resuscitation
Target Audience	Nursing and Allied Health staff involved in the care of newborns (E.g. mother ward / enrolled / student nurses)	Medical, Nursing and Allied Health staff who attend births and are responsible for resuscitation of newborns (E.g. doctors, NICU / midwives / labour ward / A&E / OT nurses, transport team, respiratory therapists)
