Dr Jean Sim graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and has since completed her specialist accreditation in the field of Infectious Diseases.

In 2020, she was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan for System Approach in Managing Nosocomial and Hospital Acquired Infections which she completed in UMC Utrecht in 2022. She is dually appointed as a senior consultant in both Infectious Diseases and Infection Prevention & Epidemiology at the Singapore General Hospital. Dr Sim also contributes to the Antimicrobial Resistance Coordinating Office (AMRCO) at CDA where she oversees stewardship and surveillance efforts in antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

She has a keen interest in AMR research, hospital epidemiology, and medical innovations.
