Adjunct Assistant Professor Kalisvar Marimuthu is a Senior Consultant in Infectious Diseases and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), Singapore. He is Chair of the National Infection Prevention and Control Committee (NIPC) and Deputy Clinical Director of TTSH’s Department of Infection Prevention and Control (DIPC). He also serves as a Senior Consultant for IPC with Singapore’s Ministry of Health and the Communicable Diseases Agency. He is Co-Chair of the World Health Organization (WHO) guideline development group on IPC for respiratory pathogens of pandemic potential. His primary research interests focus on the transmission dynamics of emerging infectious diseases and multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs), as well as de-implementation and sustainability in IPC.
