Dr Alethea Foong has been the chairperson of the Infection Prevention and Control Committee at the National Dental Centre Singapore since 2023. She developed the dental unit waterline management protocol and is actively heading several workgroups to improve infection prevention practices in the centre. She is a consultant in the Department of Restorative Dentistry (Prosthodontics Unit), with a special interest in sleep bruxism and temporomandibular disorders. She has published a paper titled Esthetic Evaluation of Anterior Implant-Supported Single Crowns and is currently involved in various research projects including tele-dentistry, artificial intelligence in dentistry, and sleep bruxism.
