Overview:

Effective implementation of infection prevention and control (IPC) programs will require the use of quality improvement principles and tools. This is echoed in the WHO core components where the WHO Multimodal Strategy is strongly recommended. This session will give examples of how this has been practiced in reducing healthcare associated infections in a tertiary acute medical care setting e.g. CLABSI, healthcare associated MRSA bacteremia, etc.
