Diabetes Nursing Course
This curriculum is designed for the Registered Nurses (RN) and Enrolled Nurses (EN) to create awareness on general basic management of diabetes care in health promotion and complications.
At this course, participants will learn to:
Discuss the incidence, prevalence, the role of genetic and environmental factors in the development of diabetes.
Explain the diagnosis and classification of diabetes.
Identify risk factors for diabetes and its strategies for complication prevention.
Discuss the principles of management in diabetes care.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills in performing peripheral blood glucose accurately.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills in administration of insulin therapy safety.
Demonstrates accurately of documentation in the insulin flowsheet.
