EMT Recertification Programme

This course aims to recertify Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to be able to

1. Perform appropriate EMT skills in recognition and implementation of appropriate responses during unique situations, which may include handling of difficult patients; accident and breakdown of vehicle/ equipment; team crisis; and activation of further assistance.
2. Maintain the required competency as EMT within the regulatory requirements as stipulated in the Healthcare Services Act 2020.

The certificate is valid for 2 years. According to the Healthcare Services Act 2020, EMT must undergo the EMT Recertification Programme at least once every 2 years.

Entry Requirement

• Candidates must have completed an MOH-approved EMT Course
• Application for EMT Recertification Programme must be submitted 30 days before the due date for renewal

1. MOH-approved EMT Course Certificate
2. Valid BCLS & CPR+AED or BCLS+AED Certification (SRFAC-accredited)
3. Valid Standard First-Aid Certification (SRFAC-accredited)
