Title:  Microskill Learning: One Minute Preceptorship Workshop

Workshop Synopsis: 

The One Minute Preceptorship Workshop for healthcare professional is designed to foster effective and efficient clinical teaching in any clinical settings. It aims to equip individuals with micro skills in order to promote learner’s independence and active engagement in patient’s care.

This workshop will benefit any healthcare professional who are teaching in any clinical setting as well as those who are interested in enhancing their clinical teaching skills.

Workshop Objectives:

By the end of this workshop, participants will:

• List the steps of the One Minute Preceptorship model in clinical setting

• Explain how each steps fosters effective and efficient teaching

• Demonstrate understanding of using the microteaching skills in different clinical setting through role play

• Provide feedback to peer in their use of microteaching skills in role-play or real-life setting 

• Identify barriers in implementing strategies

• Create a sense of commitment in using the microteaching strategies and solutions to apply these strategies
