Assisting Registered Nurses in Emergencies

This course aims to equip nurses with: 

1. Critical background knowledge pertinent to the care of collapsed patients in hospitals and clinics, especially cardiac arrest patients, 

2. In-dept knowledge and skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and 

3. Strategies to manage stress, burn out and compassion fatigue. 


This course is organised by National Heart Centre Singapore.


Course Outline: 

  • Outline the roles and responsibilities of the EN in emergencies
  • Participate safely in CPR and emergency situations
  • Assist in advanced life support management - airway management, defibrillation
  • Discuss challenges and difficulties faced by nurses
  • Discuss strategies to manage stress, burnout and compassion fatigue

Target Audience: 

  • Enrolled Nurses
  • Enrolled Nurses who have completed Cardiac Nursing Course for Enrolled Nurse (In-Service)

16, 18 & 19 April 2024 (Tuesday, Thursday & Friday)
26, 28 & 29 August 2024 (Monday, Wednesday & Thursday)
