
This course aims to equip nurses with:
1. Critical background knowledge pertinent to the care of collapsed patients in hospitals and clinics, especially cardiac arrest patients,
2. In-dept knowledge and skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and
3. Strategies to manage stress, burn out and compassion fatigue.
This course is organised by National Heart Centre Singapore.
Course Outline:
- Outline the roles and responsibilities of the EN in emergencies
- Participate safely in CPR and emergency situations
- Assist in advanced life support management
- Airway Management
- Defibrillation
- Discuss challenges and difficulties faced by nurses
- Discuss strategies to manage stress, burnout and compassion fatigue

- Enrolled Nurses
- Enrolled Nurses who have completed Cardiac Nursing Course for Enrolled Nurse (In-Service)
