Overseas Electives for Medical Students

Overseas medical students, including Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents who are pursuing Medicine in overseas universities, and are keen to do elective postings in SingHealth institutions may submit their requests either through the local medical schools or directly to the SingHealth’s hospitals and institutions. All applicants must be bona fide students in their clinical posting years and have undergone training from medical schools recognised by Singapore Medical Council (SMC) as listed here.

To be considered for the posting, interested applicants are required to submit the completed application form via email at least six months before their preferred elective dates. All postings are on a first come, first served basis, and subject to the availability and approval of the respective hosting departments.
