The College of Allied Health (CAH) was established in 2017 as the academic home for Allied Health education across SingHealth. Bringing together the diverse strengths of our Allied Health community, CAH provides a platform to strengthen clinical education, develop educators, foster collaboration, and advance educational excellence. Guided by our enduring values of unity in diversity, collegiality and collaboration, academic leadership, lifelong learning, and creativity, we remain committed to advancing education that enhances clinical practice and improves patient/client care.

Healthcare continues to evolve rapidly. Advances in technology and artificial intelligence, changing population health needs, and increasingly integrated models of care require Allied Health practitioners to continually learn, innovate, and collaborate across professional boundaries. Education is therefore more than the acquisition of knowledge and skills. It is about developing reflective practitioners, capable educators, adaptive leaders, and lifelong learners who can lead meaningful change and contribute to better health outcomes.

In alignment with the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre’s educational purpose of Advancing Education, Enhancing Health, CAH has evolved to support three strategic priorities: People, Learning and Impact. These priorities guide how we invest in our people, design meaningful learning experiences, and create lasting value for our professions, our organisation, and the patients/clients we serve.

Our work focuses on developing and supporting our Allied Health practitioners, strengthening high-quality learning across the continuum of professional development, and advancing educational innovation, scholarship, and strategic partnerships. Through these efforts, we seek to cultivate an educational ecosystem that is collaborative, evidence-informed and responsive to the future needs of healthcare.

Our organisational structure reflects this shared commitment. Dedicated leadership teams work across curriculum and instructional design, interprofessional education, educational innovation and research, strategic collaborations, program accreditation, educator development, and wellness and professional development. Together, these efforts enable us to leverage the collective expertise of the Allied Health community while creating opportunities for learning across professions and institutions.

As we look to the future, CAH will continue to champion excellence in Allied Health education by nurturing outstanding Allied Health practitioners, empowering lifelong learners, fostering collaboration across SingHealth and beyond, and translating educational excellence into meaningful impact.
