The conference is jointly organised by SingHealth Group Allied Health and SingHealth Academy College of Allied Health.

The SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC) draws on the collective strengths of SingHealth and Duke-NUS Medical School to provide our patients and community with the best outcomes and experience.

By leveraging the synergies in clinical care, research and education created through our Academic Clinical Programmes, Disease Centres and Joint Institutes, the SingHealth Duke-NUS AMC fosters the exchange of scientific knowledge and clinical perspectives to accelerate innovation and new discoveries, advance the practice of medicine as well as nurture the next generation of healthcare professionals.

SingHealth delivers comprehensive, multi-disciplinary and integrated care across a network of acute hospitals, national specialty centres, polyclinics and community hospitals. Offering over 40 clinical specialties, SingHealth is Singapore’s largest public healthcare cluster.

Duke-NUS, Singapore’s flagship graduate-entry medical school, nurtures ‘Clinician Plus’ graduates to become leaders in the global healthcare and biomedical ecosystem, while scientists from its five Signature Research Programmes and nine Centres transform medicine and improve lives in Asia and beyond.

SingHealth Group Allied Health

Allied Health professions comprise diverse groups of healthcare professionals providing a wide range of health services. Working in partnership with other healthcare professionals including doctors and nurses, Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) are experts in their specialised fields of practice, supporting the diagnosis, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and/or prevention of diseases or illnesses, to enhance or maintain physical, sensory, psychological, cognitive and/or social functions of patients.

SingHealth Group Allied Health serves as the strategic office that oversees the 31 Allied Health professions across the cluster, with a workforce totaling more than 5,000 staff.

The College of Allied Health (CAH) aims to advance the professional clinical development of the Allied Health community in SingHealth and the nation. The College oversees and develops the full continuum of education and training for all Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) and Allied Health support staff.

CAH offers a comprehensive range of professional training programmes, from basic skills training to advanced postgraduate programmes, to meet the diverse needs of our Allied Health staff. These training programmes promote multi-professional, team-based learning toward a more integrated healthcare model to provide patients with optimal care.

Through CAH, the faculty will develop new teaching capabilities and integrate best practices across diverse Allied Health professions. CAH will also facilitate research and scholarly activities to enhance the clinical outcomes of patients. In addition, to ensure the quality of its programmes, the College will pursue accreditation of its programmes through the relevant organisations.
