Diabetes Nursing Course
This course is designed for the Registered Nurses (RNs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to create awareness on general management of diabetes care in health promotion and complications prevention.
At this course, participants will learn to:
Discuss the prevalence and pathophysiology of diabetes
State the classifications of diabetes
Explain screening and diagnosis of diabetes
Identify diabetes complications and screening
Discuss Diabetes Self Management Education & Support (DSMES)
Recognize oral diabetes medications and other injectable therapies
Discuss types of insulin
Describe glucose monitoring and diabetes technology
