Dr Wang Lai Mun, a consultant pathologist joined the Department of Laboratory Medicine, Changi General Hospital in 2016. She had previously trained and worked as a pathologist in St Vincent’s University Hospital Dublin, Ireland, at its specialist Centre for Colorectal Disease and Liver Transplant Unit.
She took up a consultant position at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2009. She specialised in gastrointestinal, pancreaticobiliary and liver pathology and was the lead pathologist for the Oxfordshire Bowel Cancer Screening Programme and Oxford Neuroendocrine Tumour Centre (ENETS Centre of Excellence). Her research experience and interest are in gastrointestinal, including pancreaticobiliary, cancers, primary sclerosing cholangitis, fatty liver disease and chronic inflammatory bowel disease. Dr Wng has worked and published in collaboration with international GI and Liver pathologists and in close partnership with the Ludwig Institute, Wellcome Trust, Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine and Translational Gastroenterology Unit based in Oxford.
