Dr Sridhar SESHADRI

Dr Sridhar (“Sri”) Seshadri joined Stanford Health Care (SHC) in July 2003 and is currently the Vice President for the Cancer and Heart Centres. DrSeshadri previously oversaw the hospital’s process excellence activities and was also responsible for the creation of the SHC Leadership Academy. In his current role, he is responsible for the design and implementation of coordinated complex-care delivery across two of SHC’s destination service lines.

Until 2002, Dr Seshadri was the Vice-President and General Manager of General Electric Medical System’s Healthcare Solutions business, which consulted on Six Sigma and Lean operational improvements for hospitals in the United States and Europe. Dr Seshadri started his career with the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he led their Medical Informatics Group.

He has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Bangalore University, India, a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a doctorate from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. He has published over 120 papers and two book chapters largely in the area of medical imaging informatics.
