Adj Asst Prof Shephali Tagore joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital in 2004, and completed her Advanced Specialty Training in 2008. Dr Tagore’s subspecialty training was in the Management of High Risk Pregnancies and Obstetric Critical Care in Duke University Hospital, Durham, NC, USA, under the the Ministry of Health Singapore Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) award.
Her clinical practice encompasses all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. As the Head of Peripartum unit, she implements risk reduction strategies towards safer clinical care. Adj Asst Prof Tagore is the lead clinician in High Risk Obstetrics and Operative Obstetrics, thus offering consult services with hands on care, round the clock. She is actively involved in teaching, training and research activities. Additionally, as a Director of International Medical Programme, organising training in Obstetrics Emergencies in developing countries in Southeast Asia remains as her passion. Adj Asst Prof Tagore leads teams to teach simple, safe obstetric practices improving perinatal outcomes and at the same time streamlining their own systems and processes.
