Dr LIM Chwee Ming

Dr Lim Chwee Ming graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 1998 and was awarded the Gold Medal for both the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (General Surgery) examination and Specialist Accreditation Board Examination (Otolaryngology) in 2003 and 2009 respectively. He subsequently pursued the Advanced Head and Neck Surgery Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center on a HMDP training award from the Ministry of Health Singapore. He is presently a senior consultant with the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (National University Hospital) and Division of Surgical Oncology, National University Cancer Institute. His main clinical practice is in Head and Neck Surgery with special interest in minimally invasive head and neck surgery, robotic assisted surgery and thyroid related surgery. He heads a research team focusing on translational Immunology in head and neck cancer at the National University of Singapore; and collaborates with the bioengineers to develop new technology in robotic assisted surgery. He is an international member of the American Head and Neck Society (AHNS); council member of the Asia Pacific Thyroid Surgery (APTS) and faculty member of the International Guild of Endoscopic/robotic head and neck surgery (IGERS) and Asian Society of Head and Neck Oncology (ASHNO). Dr Lim is well published in the field of head and neck surgery and cancer immunology; and he is regularly invited to give talks in these areas in both regional and international meetings.
