Assoc Prof Lee Yuan Kun is the Coordinator of the Asian Microbiome Program. He is a full-time faculty member in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and Distinguish Professor of the Institute of Food Science & Technology, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science. Dr Lee has been involved in research related to human microbiome for over 20 years. He is an internationally recognised speaker and researcher and has published extensively in numerous peer-reviewed journals and books. Currently, he is on the editorial board of Critical Reviews in Microbiology (UK, Associate Editor); Scientific Reports (UK); Beneficial Microbes (The Netherland); Bioscience of Microbiota, Food and Health (Japan), and Food Science & Human Wellness (China). He serves on the board of a number of professional institutions, including the Singapore Society of Microbiology and Biotechnology; Asian Federation of Societies for Lactic Acid Bacteria; International Union for Microbiology Societies; and International Life Sciences Institute.
