Dr Arif Tyebally is Deputy Head and Senior Consultant in the Emergency Medicine Department at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH). He joined KKH in 2002 and has a keen interest in the training of medical students and doctors. He is a faculty member in both the SingHealth Paediatric and Emergency Medicine Residency Programmes. Dr Tyebally is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Duke-NUS Medical School as well as a Clinical Teacher at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
Dr Tyebally has a passion for Childhood Injury Prevention and Humanitarian and Disaster Relief work. He was awarded The Outstanding Young Persons of Singapore Award 2009 –Merit for his contribution to children. His humanitarian work and interest in community outreach has led him to share his skills in many parts of the world including Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Pakistan and South Africa. He believes in a collaborative approach to injury prevention and has worked with many stakeholders such as Spring Singapore, Singapore Police Force and SportSG. He is the co-chairperson of the Water Safety and Risk Management Committee at SportSG.
