Asst Prof Low Hsiu Ling Andrea is Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Rheumatology & Immunology at the Singapore General Hospital. She is Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School and Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. She is also a visiting consultant at the National Heart Centre (Combined Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic). She underwent her Rheumatology training in the United Kingdom and Singapore and continued her sub-specialisation at Mt Sinai Hospital, University of Toronto with a fellowship in systemic sclerosis. She subsequently obtained the Master of Clinical Investigation in clinical research at the National University of Singapore.

Her clinical and research interest is in systemic sclerosis and the overlap connective tissue diseases. She spearheaded the national Systemic Sclerosis Database and leads collaborative research efforts for new therapies in systemic sclerosis. Dr Low is also a recipient of the Medicine Academic Clinical Program Nurturing Clinician Scientist award and the National Medical Research Council Transition Award. She has secured over $2 million in grant funding for her work in systemic sclerosis.

Asst Prof Low is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (Rheumatology) and member of the Chapter of Rheumatologists, Singapore. She is a journal reviewer for several regional and international journals.
