I think this Congress is unique in
the sense that you get to hear
so many people here in this Academic Medical Centre. It
brings everybody together under

Cancer immunotherapy is now the fourth pillar of anti-cancer therapy with surgery, radiation and systemic therapy including chemotherapy and targeted therapy. It has demonstrated survival benefit in different indications including but not limited to melanoma, NSCLC, SCCHN and RCC. The understanding of how the immune system identifies and attacks cancer has evolved over the years. The focus now is on combining different modalities in order to overcome some of the escape mechanisms.
