Assoc Prof TAN Ru San

Dr Tan is a Cardiologist at National Heart Centre Singapore and holds concurrent appointments as Deputy Director, National Heart Research Institute of Singapore, and Adjunct Associate Professor, Duke-NUS Medical School. He specialises in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging (echocardiography and magnetic resonance imaging), and leads a team of scientists involved in bioengineering and cardiovascular imaging research. He is also an experienced clinical trialist, site principal investigator of several multicentre cardiology clinical trials, and steering committee member of some landmark trials (ROCKET-AF, RE-LY, AVERROES, APPRAISE-2, APEX, RELAX-Asia).
