Prof Koh Woon Puay is a Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore. She is site-principal investigator of the Singapore Chinese Health Study, an NIH-funded, 63,000-strong cohort of middle-aged and elderly Chinese Singaporeans established for the long-term study of dietary and other environmental determinants of chronic diseases common among Singaporeans. Prof Koh has co-authoured over 180 scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journals, including scientific contributions of reports on diet, lifestyle and genes in relation to risk of diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, gout, osteoporosis and Parkinson's disease in leading international conferences and journals. Prof Koh received her MBBS (Honours) from NUS, her PhD in Immunology from the University of Sydney, Australia, and postdoctoral training at the University of Southern California in the United States of America.
