Dr Farhad Fakhrudin VASANWALA

Dr Farhad is currently the Head of Department in Family Medicine and Consultant in General Medicine in Sengkang Health (SKH). He is also Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and was previously the Associate Programme Director of the SingHealth Family Medicine Residency Programme. Before joining SKH, Dr Farhad practised at the Department of Internal Medicine, Singapore General Hospital, and the Department of Family Medicine and Continuing Care as a Consultant where he was the Director of Transitional Home Care from 2009 to 2014.

An advocate for medical education, Dr Farhad teaches at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and is an examiner in the postgraduate GDFM, MMed (FM), MRCP and FCFP programmes. His research interests include Dengue, Care Integration and Family Medicine. Dr Farhad has published extensively in peer reviewed journals and has been invited to speak in conferences both locally and overseas.
