Dr Chee Hoe Kit is a full-time clinician with National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS) since 2005 and is a Consultant in the Periodontics Unit of the Department of Restorative Dentistry. He is currently spearheading the Perio-Clinic at the Singapore General Hospital Diabetes & Metabolism Centre where diabetic patients are screened for periodontal disease and he conducts research on these patients too. Although Dr Chee's main surgical interest is in periodontal plastic surgery and guided bone regeneration for implants and fixed prosthodontics, he also treats numerous patients in NDCS requiring non-surgical periodontal management.

Dr Chee has served as a Clinical Fellow in the Department of Periodontics, University of Washington School of Dentistry in Seattle, United States of America, as he had received the SingHealth Health Manpower Development Plan award in Periodontal Plastic Surgery around Natural Teeth & Implants and Guided Bone Regeneration. He also conducts teaching for Periodontics Residents from the National University of Singapore and as well as student oral health therapists from the School of Health Sciences, Nanyang Polytechnic. Dr Chee regularly contributes his dental knowledge and skills by giving Continuing Dental Education lectures in NDCS. He is also the current Vice-President of the Society of Periodontology Singapore where he has been actively involved in its Executive Committee since 2007.
