Prof Celia Tan started in healthcare as a physiotherapist but soon developed a passion for capacity-building and service expansion to meet the increasing healthcare needs of her patients and fellow colleagues. Over 30 years in the healthcare sector, she has started many new clinical services, educational institutes and research units in the Singapore General Hospital and SingHealth. She is currently the Group Director for Allied Health at SingHealth and holds adjunct positions with the University of Melbourne and Curtin University in Australia, as well as the London South Bank University in the United Kingdom. She is also an external examiner for Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in Malaysia. Her research interests are in biomechanical rehabilitation devices, and her patents and publications are focused on rehabilitation and spine care.

Prof Celia Tan’s passion is to enable healthcare professionals to rise to their highest potential as clinicians, educators and researchers, so that patients are well cared-for with the highest quality and state of the art treatments.
