It’s very exciting to have this many notable speakers and experts available in relatively small settings so you can ask them questions and engage them. It really is terrific. I’ve been impressed by the number of different kinds of topic and areas of exploration, and the level of expertise represented here.

The first case of COVID-19 was confirmed on 23rd Jan 2020. To many of us in Singapore, this was not a surprise, because in contrary, we knew we would be hit based on our past experience from SARS-2003. COVID-19 is still here and raging on globally. I would like share on the key learning points on Singapore’s preparedness in managing COVID-19, and provide a critical review of NCID’s role to support Singapore’s response through providing highly scalable infrastructure, manpower, supplies and technology; ensuring rapid adaptation of resources and processes amidst a complex fluid situation; generating evidence-based knowledge and insights; and forming collaborative networks and partnerships.
