Internet of Things and Virtual Reality

This course aims to prepare participants for the digital workplace transformation, in line with Singapore's vision to become a Smart Nation. Participants will gain insights into the emerging technologies of Internet of Things (IoT), Data Analytics and Virtual Reality (VR). With opportunities for practical application, participants will learn to develop an interactive Rehab Game for a healthcare application. This will be implemented using smart technologies, including the use of IoT sensors to acquire data, IoT networking and cloud to collect the data, VR to visualise the data in the form of a dashboard for remote monitoring and Data Analytics to study trends.

Course Objectives

  • Explain the use of game technology in healthcare training
  • Develop an interactive Rehab Game using VR and IoT
  • Manage data acquired from the IoT sensors
  • Perform remote monitoring and trends analysis through Data Visualisation
