EMS Medical Directors Course (General)


The Ministry of Health (MOH) intends to replace the Private Hospital Medical Clinics Act (PHMCA) with the
 new Healthcare Services Act, which will include the legislation of the Emergency Ambulance Service (EAS) and Medical Transport Service (MTS). 
 
The EMS Medical Directors Course (General) aims to equip doctors and nurses with fundamental knowledge in providing medical supervision for EAS & MTS, in accordance with the MOH 2017 Standards. 
                 
Note: This course is a pre-requisite for the Advanced Medical Directors’ Course, which will guide clinical directors in supervising EAS. 


Pre-Requisites

  • Doctors registered with Singapore Medical Council or Registered Nurses registered with Singapore Nursing Board; 
  • Prior experience in pre-hospital service or current/potential clinical directors of ambulance service.

  • Overview EMS operations and directions
  • Practical issues in medical direction 
  • Singapore's pre-hospital regulations, education and competencies

Other Information

  • Participants must attend all the lectures and skills practice  sessions in order to successfully complete the course. 
  • Participants who are late for more than 1.5 hours from the stated start time will not be able to join the course and will be deemed as absent. Course fees will not be refunded.
