Advanced Laparoscopic Nephrectomy Workshop


In the last 20 years, Minimally Invasive Surgery has expanded from its niche area to join the mainstream of most surgical specialties In fact, MIS procedures have become the preferred choices in gallbladder, colorectal and bariatric surgery and indeed, MIS is even making inroads into traditional bastions of open surgery such as transplant, cardiac and orthopedic surgery

Surgical training in the 21 st century would be incomplete without formal teaching and structured guidance in the technique of MIS procedures This instructional hands on animal workshop will allow urology trainees and aspiring Urologists to practice and hone their laparoscopic skills for kidney surgery.


Course Objective

  • Provide high quality masterclass and hands on workshop in advanced nephrectomy concepts such as, standard Laparoscopic Partial Nephrectomy and ICG assisted super selective clamping in Partial Nephrectomy
  • Deliver a high value learning experience with online learning modules and hands on interactive live porcine sessions


Target Audience

  • Urology Residents and Trainees
  • Surgeons with exposure to Urological Surgery and would like to learn advanced techniques and skills in Laparoscopic Partial Nephrectomy
