Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS)


Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS), accredited by  Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education (CAPCE) and recognised by National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), is the gold standard of education for emergency medical assessment and treatment. Endorsed by  the National Association of EMS Physicians, AMLS emphasises the use of the AMLS Assessment Pathway, a systematic tool for assessing and managing urgent medical conditions with accuracy. 


Course Objective

The course will teach participants to systematically rule out and consider possibilities in treating patients’  medical crises, through the use of scene size -up, patient history and physical exams. 


Course Outline

Participants will learn to recognise and manage common medical crises by undergoing realistic case-based scenarios that will challenge students to apply their knowledge to highly critical patients.  

Topics covered will include respiratory disorders, cardiovascular disorders, shock, neurologic disorders, abdominal disorders, endocrine and metabolic disorders, infectious diseases, environmental-related disorders, and toxicological emergencies. 

The 2-day course consists of lectures, interactive skills stations and pre & post assessment tests. Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate of completion by The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians

  • Participants must attend all the lectures and skills practice sessions in order to successfully complete the course. 
  • Participants who are late for more than 1.5 hours from the stated start time will not be able to join the course  and will be deemed as absent. Course fees will not be refunded.
