Your Learning Experience

The SingHealth Diagnostic Radiology Residency Programme is a competency-based five-year training programme, of which the final year is an advanced training year where a Resident may choose to focus on a subspecialty of choice. Throughout the programme, Residents are rotated through different radiological departments within the SingHealth institutions (SGH, CGH, SKH, KKH, NNI and NCCS). Rotations are categorised according to radiology subspecialities with clear learning objectives monitored by respective subspecialty core Faculty leads.

A typical day of a radiology Resident may involve running a reporting clinic or procedure room, participating in multidisciplinary clinical-radiology rounds, planning scan protocols with technologist, advising patients on imaging appropriateness, one-on-one case discussion with Faculty, attending small group tutorials or lectures as well as reviewing data for quality improvement and audit.
