Perform general cleaning activities
Able to handle spillages and stains in the healthcare environment, ensuring that the right cleaning duties agents are used such that work and surface areas are clean and free from infection.

Lifting, transferring and positioning of patients
Able to perform lifting, transferring and positioning of patients in a safe manner.
Perform transporting of patients and dispatch activities
Able to perform transportation of patients and medical specimens or items for laboratory investigations as ordered by doctors in a safe manner.
Demonstrate understanding of basic human anatomy and physiology
Able to respond appropriately to instructions, use terminology which contain basic terms of human anatomy and physiology and explain basic physiological symptoms in interactions with patients and next-of-kin.
Measure and record patient's vital signs
to apply skills and knowledge to support medical professionals in the
measurement and recording of pain, body temperature, radial pulse, respiration
and blood pressure.
32 hours 4 days
Assist patients in care of airway
Able apply skills and knowledge in pulse oximetry, assist in oxygen therapy & nebulization and perform oral suctioning.
Demonstrate understanding of the responsibilities of an emergency medical technician
Able to understand the overall healthcare and ambulance service provision in Singapore, the related duties, roles and responsibilities in accordance with the guidelines and standards.
Perform emergency care
Able to perform emergency care as an EMT for common traumatic emergencies, wounds, fractures and dislocations.
Perform emergency medical technician role in ambulance calls
Able to apply the knowledge and skills required to make critical decisions that will save and sustain a patient’s life.
