Wound Management Course Level II

The curriculum is an innovative educational program for nurses involved in wound care and tissue repair. This program aims to explore the pathophysiology of wound and tissue repair, wound debridement, determine the principles of wound healing, examine the latest various techniques in wound healing, and to expand knowledge of wound pharmaceuticals, dressing and bandages. These sessions have been designed for nurses who wish to advance and enhance their wound care knowledge from the expert guidance.
At this course, participants will learn to:
Describe a complete wound assessment and establish a treatment plan
Discuss advanced modalities available to wound management professionals
Recognize available dressing categories and be able to select them appropriately
Discuss several atypical wounds and their etiology
Explain the importance of debridement in wound healing
Apply negative pressure wound therapy device and use other modalities appropriately
