Health Assessment Course

This course is designed for Registered Nurses to develop skills and knowledge in conducting an objective in health assessment.

At this course, participants will learn to:

• State the role of Staff Nurse in health examination

• Obtaining health history of client using a pre-designated format

• Identify the anatomy underlying areas of assessment in physical examination

• Identify physiological mechanism underlying the findings in the physical examination

• Demonstrate professional attitudes in health assessment

• Demonstrate knowledge and skills of physical examination using techniques of Inspection, Palpation, Percussion, Auscultation

• Analyse and interprets physical examination findings

• Collect and evaluate data to propose recommendations of care

• Report findings using SBAR model

Target Audience

Registered Nurses (minimum of 1 year working experience) without Advanced Diploma or Degree of Nursing (with health assessment module)
