Health Assessment Course
Course Reference Number: CRS-N-0022324
This course is designed for registered nurses to develop skills and knowledge in conducting an objective in health assessment.
At this course, participants will learn to:
State the role of staff nurse in health examination
Obtaining health history of client using a pre-designated format
Identify the anatomy underlying areas of assessment in physical examination
Identify physiological mechanism underlying the findings in the physical examination
Demonstrate professional attitudes in health assessment
Demonstrate knowledge and skills of physical examination using techniques of Inspection, Palpation, Percussion, Auscultation
Analyse and interprets physical examination findings
Collect and evaluate data to propose recommendations of care
Report findings using SBAR model
Target Audience
Registered Nurses (minimum of 1 year working experience) without Advanced Diploma or Degree of Nursing (with health assessment module)
