End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium

The End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium course aims to provide participants with the basic knowledge on the philosophy and practice of palliative care.
At this course, participants will learn to:
Discuss the concepts of palliative care and palliative care services in Singapore
Discuss pain management
Explain the management of common distressing symptoms in terminal illness
Explain ethical issues and legal concerns in end of life
Discuss cultural and spiritual issues in end of life
Discuss psychosocial and communication issues
Discuss the management of grief, loss and bereavement of patients and families as well as the loss experiences of health care professionals.
Discuss the care of patients at final hours
Target Audience
Registered Nurses (minimal of 1 year working experience)
