Clinical Rheumatology Nursing Course (Advanced)

The complexity of rheumatology diseases requires nurses to be equipped with specific knowledge and skills. This course is design to equip nurses who have basic knowledge of Rheumatology with deeper understanding of the management for more complex cases, such as Systemic Sclerosis, Systemic Vasculitis, Autoimmune Myositis and Rheumatology Emergencies.

These conditions require long term follow-up and have significant physical and psychological impact on them. A multidisciplinary team approach will improve patients’ outcome and experience. We aim for patients to receive continuity and excellent coordinated care, as well as being well-informed so as to manage self-care. The ultimate aim is delivery of value-based care and optimisation of clinical outcomes.
