Wound Management Course Level II

The curriculum is an innovative educational course for nurses involved in wound care and tissue repair. This course aims to explore the pathophysiology of wound and tissue repair, wound debridement, determine the principles of wound healing, examine the latest various techniques in wound healing, and to expand knowledge of wound pharmaceuticals, dressing and bandages.


Course Outline: 

  • Principles in Wound Assessment
  • Nursing management of different wounds, pressure ulcer, leg ulcer, stoma
  • Nursing management of fungating oncology wound, burns wounds and management skin/grafts/flap
  • Workshops on interventions and resources for different types of wounds, application of topical negative pressure therapy
  • Compression Therapy on stockings and bandages, foot wear and foot care, pressure off loading
  • Wound modalities - HBOT, TNPT, Larval, Bioengineer therapy

Target Audience: 

Registered Nurses involved in wound care and tissue repair, and have attended the Wound Management Course Level I.

Run 2: 21 - 22 May 2019 (Tuesday - Wednesday)
Run 3: 18 - 19 June 2019 (Tuesday - Wednesday)
Run 4: 29 - 30 October 2019 (Tuesday - Wednesday)
