Wound Management Course Level I


This course is designed for participants to enhance their knowledge and skills in managing different types of wounds like pressure ulcer, dermatological, vascular, burns, stoma and malignant wounds. Participants will learn the appropriate treatment with regards to the patient's condition, overall treatment goal, resource availability and in line with the hospital policies in clinical practices.
    

Course Outline: 

  • Basic principles in wound management
  • Prevention and management of pressure ulcer
  • Management of leg ulcer
  • Nursing management of fungating breast lesion
  • Dermatological care
  • Burn wound management
  • Stoma care
  • Interventions and resources available for different types of wounds

Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses

Run 2: 23 - 24 April 2019 (Tuesday - Wednesday)
Run 3: 11 - 12 June 2019 (Tuesday - Wednesday)
Run 4: 22 - 23 October 2019 (Tuesday - Wednesday)
Run 5: 12 - 13 November 2019 (Tuesday - Wednesday)
