Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, Ministry of Health, Singapore
Dr Karen Koh is an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) at National University Hospital (NUH) and is seconded to Ministry of Health as Assistant Chief Nursing Officer. Dr Koh has been actively involved in the APN development both nationally and at NUH. She was instrumental in the establishment of the enhanced APN internship (2015), National APN exam via Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE), National Collaborative Prescribing Programme (2018) for APNs and now actively working on launching Integrated APN internship (2021) based. As a practising APN, she has also influenced model of care provided by APNs such as ward-based APNs, transitional care services and technology based care.
