Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
ACLS refers to a set of clinical interventions for the urgent treatment of life threatening medical emergencies such a cardiac arrest. The intensive 12 hour course trains the medical professionals with the most up to date ACLS guidelines and skills to deploy the clinical interventions.
The five-hour recertification is for participants who have undergone the course previously.
The following topics are covered in the ACLS Course:
Advanced airway management
Recognition of cardiac arrest rhythms & arrhythmias
Management of medical emergencies – Respiratory Arrest, Witnessed VF, Persistent VT, PEA, Asystole, Bradycardia, Acute Coronary Syndromes
Pharmacology of commonly utilized cardiovascular drugs & their administration
The course accredited by the National Resuscitation Council (NRC) consists of both didactic and case based scenarios in an interactive learning environment. Upon successful completion of the theory and practical assessment, the participant will receive the ACLS certificate valid for 2 years.
Medical professionals whose ACLS Certificate from a National Resuscitation Council (NRC) accredited training centre which has not been expired for more than 1 year
- If your ACLS certificate is not issued locally / accredited by NRC Singapore, please drop an email to MS Nordiana (Nordiana.email@example.com) from NRC to verify your certificate is ACLS equivalent before sending in the registration form.

However, replacement of eligible participants is allowed.
SIMS reserves the right to cancel the course and fully refund the participants should unforeseen circumstances necessitate it.

Participants' Responsibility to SIMS
Participants cannot successfully complete the course unless they attend all the lectures and skills practice.
Participants who are late for more than 1.5 hours from the stated start time will not be able to join the course and deemed as absent. Course fees will not be refunded.
SIMS will not be liable for loss of personal property.
Doctors are required to make payment to SIMS directly if he/she fails to attend, cancel, request for deferments less than 5 working days (excluding course day, Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday) prior to the scheduled course date or did not complete the course successfully
