Mr Sng Hock Lin

Hock Lin took over as the Chief of the Silver Generation Office, Agency for Integrated Care on the 1 Feb 2023. He is an advocate for older adults and have a strong passion for ageing issues. Hock Lin holds a Master in Gerontology from the Singapore University of Social Sciences and is currently pursuing his PhD in Gerontology. Previously, Hock Lin was the Chief of ActiveSG where he was responsible for leading the national movement to promote active living and community engagement through sports.
Presentation Title: A Community-based Approach for Healthier Lifestyle Adoption
Hock Lin will share about the shared vision, design, processes and lessons learned from the Health Up programme which employed a community-based approach to support individuals & families to adopt healthier lifestyle habits.
He will also share his reflections from conception to execution of this programme and the importance of building teams amongst the diverse partners to engender trust - the key success factor of this programme.
