Administration and Leadership
The College of Healthcare Administration and Leadership (CHeAL) aims to build internal capability through developing the leadership and healthcare administration competencies of all levels of healthcare professionals.
CHeAL drives the SingHealth Competency Framework for Leadership and Healthcare Administration. Included within this framework are competencies such as include Generic Competencies for all admin and ancillary staff, Leadership Competencies for leaders across all professions, and administrative Domain Competencies (Communications, Education, Finance, Human Resource, Operations, and Research).
This competency-based approach will adopt a blended-learning approach, with in-house workshops, external training, e-learning, discussion forums. CHeAL also provides the necessary resources and support to encourage self-directed learning. The workshops and training run by CHeAL also fosters staff interaction across professions and institutions, promoting inter-professional, team-based collaboration. The College's vision is to build a community of leaders and staff who are competent in the areas of healthcare administration and leadership, and who are confident and ready to assume their roles.
